The 2011 conference was held in Bangalore, India 2011.

Commonwealth Moot 2011

The Moot was held in Hyderabad alongside the Commonwealth Lawyers Conference on 8th February 2011. It was won by the team from SRI LANKA.

The teams playing in the semi-finals were:

INDIA v SRI LANKA
Scores: India 486 (see applicant’s argument) Sri Lanka 491 (see respondent’s argument)

WEST AFRICA v CANADA
Scores: West Africa 519 (see applicant’s argument), Canada 490 (See respondent’s argument)

The scores are based on the aggregate scores of the 3 judges.   The  judges were Hon. Christopher Gardner CJ Falkland Islands, Hon. Ivor Archie CJ Trinidad & Tobago, and Madam Dianne Burleigh (Chief Exec, ILEX, UK).

The teams playing in the final of the moot and the final scores were declared as:

WEST AFRICA v SRI LANKA
Scores: West Africa 484 (see applicant’s argument), Sri Lanka 522 (see respondent’s argumentt)

The scores are based on the aggregate scores of the 3 judges.   The  judges were Hon. Christopher Gardner CJ Falkland Islands, Hon. Andrew Tipping Judge Supreme Court, New Zealand, and Madam Datuk Zainun binti Ali, Judge, Court of Appeal, Malaysia.

Oladimeji Ojo of Nigeria in the WEST AFRICA team was adjudged the best mooter of the final round.
